Flora and Fauna for the Underhive

I´m very happy with the Flora and Fauna I've painted up over the last couple of days. Those little things  really bring some life to Necromunda. The Rust Fleas and mutated Milliasaurs are also very happy about the habitat, as you can see. 

 

 The chains in the hoists were replaced with actual fine gauge modelling chain, and weathered t omatch the rusted and dusty environment of my terrain.

The critters are all from the Rouge Trader Killteam box set, and were painted mainly using Games Workshop Contrast paints. 

 

The Sewer grate comes from the Warhammer 40k: Cities of Death expansion. It was painted with various browns and rust tones, given a lot of pigments and finally hit with basing materials from a lot of different sources. The idea was to make it feel abandoned and wild.

Good evening folks, Welcome to this blog about all things Grimdark from the Nordic Region. Mostly the posts you will read here will be focused on events and miniatures in Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, though roadtrips to the rest of the nordics aren´t out of the question! 

 

To start things off, I bring you a converted Ogryn for games of Necromunda and Inq28.

 
This big lad is Hittagoras, recently escaped from the Plasma Forges far above Dust Falls. Busted out by his "bestest friend in da hive", he is usually found alongside an escher freelancer known as Mysst.

So far, noone has gotten a proper answer from him regarding his affinity with the tiny beings known as "Scrunts". 

Bits-wise, I started off with a Slave Ogryn, added an arm from the Bloodbowl Ogre team, and the armor bits were taken from  the "Goliath Stimmers and Forge-born" box. The diminutive humanid in his huge paw is made by adding a Skitarii head to a Snotling body.

 

His companion, the Escher monster huntress Mysst, is an expert archer and trapper. She was made from an Escher Wyld Runner, with a converted chem tipped arrow, and a head from the Forgeworld Resin upgrade sprue. She also got a backpack from a Skitarii donor. ;)
